October 3, 2026 — At some point in the past six months, infamous New York mobster Vito Guzzo, Jr. officially returned to Ridgewood, Queens (where he made a name for himself in the 1990s) and is holding court in a new social club which opened earlier this year just a block or so down the street from where his Caffe Giannni crew used to operate, per multiple sources on both sides of the law.

The 61-year old Guzzo, Jr. has made it clear he doesn’t want convicted federal felons to patronize the club until he’s off supervised-release restrictions, sources claim. Guzzo, Jr. got out of the feds in April 2025 after three decades in the can for a racketeering and murder conviction. According to the FBI and BOP, Guzzo, Jr. received his button from the Colombo mob in an unconventional manner, getting made at a makeshift ceremony held inside an FCI Danbury recreation room.

During his come-up in the NYC underworld of the 1990s, Guzzo, Jr. led the deadly Caffe Giannini Crew out of the Ridgewood neighborhood, an NYC mob farm club that eventually fed into the Colombo, the Bonanno and the Lucchese LCN organizations. When he was arrested in 1997, Guzzo, Jr. was considered a suspect in a dozen underworld homicides, most of them related to the drug game or the murder-robbery of rivals.
