GR EXCLUSIVE: Philly Mafia Vet “Mousie” Massimino Elevated To Consigliere In New Mazzone Regime
October 8, 2026 — As part of the recent administration change in the Philadelphia mob, Joe (Mousie) Massimino was promoted to the organization’s consigliere, per sources.
“Mousie” Massimino, 75, served as the Bruno-Scarfo crime family’s underboss in the 2000s and acting underboss for a brief period in 2024 when Steve (Handsome Stevie) Mazzone finished up a prison bid. Mazzone, 63, took power in the Philly mob back in the summer after George (Georgie Boy) Borgesi stepped down as boss. Massimino did more than a decade in the feds for racketeering (2011-2023) and was cited for a supervised-release violation two years ago for meeting with associates of the Bruno-Scarfo clan at a cheesesteak joint he was working at.
