July 16, 2026 — United States District Court Judge M. Casey Rodgers gave Florida Outlaws Motorcycle Club figure Gregory (G-Thug) Simonds a seven-year prison bid earlier this month on an arson conviction stemming from his discharging an explosive device aimed at rivals in the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club outside the Beal Parkway Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson dealership but landing inside a nearby Jimm John’s sub sandwich shop and inuring an employee 18 months ago. The incident occurred on February 15, 2025 and was another in a long list of violent altercations surrounding the Pagan’s MC’s nationwide expansion campaign dubbed the “Blue Wave.” Simonds was arrested shortly after the Jimmy John’s bombing and police found additional explosive devices, two handguns and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.

“G-Thug” Simonds, 42, is a member of the Outlaws MC’s Pensacola, Florida chapter and per federal court records, served as the club’s resident explosives expert and fire-bombing equipment dealer in the state’s Northern territory. He pleaded guilty to charges related to the accidental 2025 bombing back in May. The state of Florida could be considered Ground Zero for the Blue Wave’s clash with the Outlaws MC, the one-time undisputed kings of the region until as a gesture of goodwill by the Outlaws MC in the fall of 2016 allowed Pagan’s MC chapters to begin popping up in Southern Florida in the late 2010s just as the Blue Wave was in development. Well-known Outlaws MC Daytona Beach chapter member Chris (Louie the Lip) Keating was stabbed to death in a bar fight between the Outlaws and Pagan’s MCs in April 2017. Nobody has ever faced charges in the Keaton slaying which went down at Daytona Beach’s aptly-named Crook’s Den tavern.
